What is the population of Tanzania?

Do I need a visa for Tanzania?

Most international travelers require a visa to enter Tanzania. This can be applied for online through the  official Tanzanian government website  . Please note that this is the only official website for online applications.

It is also possible to obtain a tourist or business visa for a single entry at the Tanzanian border at the main entry points in Tanzania. This visa is valid for three months. You may be asked for proof of your return journey, and the cost is $50 per person, or $100 per US citizen.

What vaccinations are necessary for Tanzania?

The yellow fever vaccination certificate is only required for travellers aged one year and over coming from – or who have had a stopover of more than 12 hours in an airport in a country where yellow fever is endemic.

In addition to standard vaccines such as MMR and DTP, the CDC and WHO recommend certain vaccinations for Tanzania, such as hepatitis A and B, and typhoid fever. Yellow fever and rabies vaccinations may also be recommended depending on the traveler’s activities.
